5 Design Trends you need to know for 2022
What will be HOT and what will be NOT for 2022? Find out the top 5 trends that you won't want to miss.

Biophilic Design
Bringing the elements of the outdoors in is the aim of Biophilic design. This is done with oversized, live plants in large planters; natural, raw edge cut wood; real trees; and lots of windows. All of this is to create a space that coexists and flows naturally with the outdoors.

Curved Lines
There is a real movement from straight lines to more curvy and softer lines. This is seen not only in architecture (think arched doorways and window casings), but in furniture and decor. This creates a more organic look and feel which creates a more welcoming, homey atmosphere.

Sustainable Materials
Every year we see more and more sustainable materials used in design and decor. From sustainable wood used in furniture making. to recycled glass in tile and countertops, to reusing items in the home for other purposes. Sustainability is not just a trend but becoming a staple in design and decor and we are happy about that!

Shades of Green
This fall the big paint companies came out with their color-of-the-year for 2022 and green was the big winner. We are not talking about lime green, chartreuse or even a bright green but muted shades of green with a touch of silver and grey. These particular shades of green can be used as a nice backdrop for other colors and can be considered a neutral.

Maximalist Design
After years of the minimalist movement with shades of neutral on every wall, people are starting to add pops of color to furniture, wall paint, pillows and wall hangings. Wallpaper with fun designs and fabrics with fun prints will be a staple in design for 2022 and I can’t wait to see it!
